• Today, houses exist across the globe in San Francisco, Berkeley, Dubai, New York City, Bangalore, London, Boston, Berlin and growing!
• The most learning intense environment of my life -- professionally and personally. Highs were very high, lows were in the trenches.
• Results were 100+ people having great experiences, raising $10M+ and raising venture capital from folks like Jeff Dean, Nat Friedman and more.
• Though everything was a team effort between the core team, most significantly: I helped decide on the structure of the 4-month cohorts, set the template of weekly demo days, acted as a superconnector to residents, hosted workshops on storytelling and cold-emailing, and hosted events for 1000+ ppl.
• The best part of this experience was being able to learn so much from the residents while giving back. I came out of this experience as a completely different person.

• Learned software development, how to hire someone, and how to manage them. Also learned how understand the needs of stakeholders like the Ministry of Education.

• TLDR; learning community and people are key in the work I do.
• Without taking a single day off, I gave Brazilian exchange students a tour of Ontario for 28 days managing the logistics of the process.
• Often 12-15 hour shifts. But never felt like work. Realized high-energy and community-building comes natural to me.

• TLDR; learned to not hijack the steering wheel and let my volunteers make mistakes while doing.
• Planned an education fair event and taught new immigrant youth how to do event planning, including writing emails and MC'ing for the event. 300+ people attendance after 1 month of planning.
