  • AEM Communities for Learning 1.x(Jun 2013 - Dec 2014)
  • AEM Communities for Learning was a disruptive social & mobile-first learning solution.I boot strapped the project for its 1.0 starting the team from scratch as a senior developer and designed the learning solution based on my previous learnings with Adobe Connect Learning. This was a hosted multi-tenant learning solution based on top of Adobe Experience Manager. I was leading a team of 4 developers here to develop the project fro scratch with focus on asset management based on tag structure. We worked on a continuous delivery model with new features released each week. I co-ordinated and managed a cross-geo, cross-functional engineering team including XD which kicked off my interest in management. It honed my ability to provide estimation, cross-product collaboration and team management.

  • Adobe Connect (Aug 2006 - May 2013)
  • I joined Connect team as its first developer in India.Adobe Connect uses a variety of technologies like Flash, Flex, AIR, C++, Java and was built on top of Adobe's Flash Media Server streaming solution. It was avant garde solution of its time to provide real-time video-conferencing solution along with capabilities to present no-directional to hundreds of audience. It was used by multiple organisation and even US DoD due to its low latency architecture.
  • I re-wrote the screen-sharing capabilities of Connect along with multi-way video to being in new modular code and capabilities. I also re-wrote the complete chat component to provide additions for emotions and private chat. Connect had regular releases and service-packs along with customer escalation. In my later years in the product I continued adding features prominent one being - adding support for H.264 codecs which improved the screen share latencies by more than 70% and moving code base to newer Flex technology. I also added to the collaborative white-boarding capabilities of Connect to help it enter the e-learning space.
  • It was in Connect that two of my patents were also approved. I added a ground-breaking audience engagement score tracker for online meetings to help meeting hosts in addition to improved reporting around the score.
