Across 22 years from Finland’s gaming studios to Singapore’s innovation hubs to India’s thriving app economy, I’ve helped global tech companies solve one recurring challenge: how to turn a platform into a thriving developer ecosystem. My constant has been building ecosystems, enabling developers, and creating partnerships that unlock growth. I’ve always measured my career in Day 1s. Day 1: Apple Developer Relations, India As Apple’s first Developer Relations leader in India, I built and scaled the ecosystem from a simple “contact us” mailbox to a 15,000-member community. I’ve mentored more than 400 developers, supported multiple Apple Design Award winners like Calzy and NaadSadhana, and partnered with cross-functional teams so India’s best apps earned global visibility. I also represented developer success in briefings for leaders including Tim Cook, Greg Joswiak, and Dr. Sumbul Desai. Day 1: Samsung Gaming Partnerships, Asia I led mobile gaming partnerships across Asia — building publisher relationships, driving next-generation gaming strategies, and accelerating onboarding across priority markets. Day 1: Nokia Life Tools I helped bring crop prices, learning content, and health information to rural India and Africa over SMS — inclusive, large-scale innovation long before “apps” became mainstream. This cemented my belief that ecosystems only thrive when they are built for everyone. Day 1: mBounce I worked on SDKs and go-to-market frameworks that helped early developers monetize and scale. It was an early proof point that when you empower developers, platforms grow. Day 1: Nokia N-Gage I helped shape one of the world’s earliest mobile-gaming ecosystems. We weren’t just launching games — we were building the behaviors that made mobile play mainstream. Day 1: Remedy Entertainment, Finland As an MBA intern, I witnessed the launch of Max Payne — a masterclass in how creativity, technology, and community come together. It taught me that platforms thrive when you support creators, not control them. Now, I’m looking forward to my next Day 1, at the intersection of AI, XR, and connected devices — where human-centered innovation will define the next wave of products, platforms, and ecosystems.
