About

A firm believer in "Technology-at-the-heart-of-it" phrase coupled with the passion for strategy and Holistic view of things. As a Senior Software Engineer/ Analyst at EY-Advisory, I inculcated a blend of technical-expertise and consulting, where I worked on numerous business-critical high-revenue engagements for diverse clients, witnessing an inherent potential for innovative technological-measures. At IIM Visakhapatnam- the management program internalized a structured decision-making framework that would facilitate me in transitioning fledgling business ideas to concrete implementations. Studying with the best minds in the country and case-problem solving at the heart of classroom program, the insights by one of the most competent teachers of the nation- gave me a many new perspectives on top of the ingrained skill-set I had. Continuing my management internship experience at Intuit- where not only did I have an opportunity to Strategize future road-maps, but also take fresh perspective in every day development and pain-points mitigation of customers. At BOSCH, working in the Innovation team was like having wings to express and test waters in future promising Market-pockets. Working to strategize next-gen products and their rodmap in various domains amidst the competitive landscape and collaboration modes gave me new expertise multiple times. Finally, now at HackerRank, the rapid speed of solving problems has sharpened my product sense more than any other experience in my career. From launching a 0-to-1 product that went into Beta, where I had to make the tough decision to deprecate it, to managing the critical 'Assessment Integrity' product line now, which ensures the trust of our 3,000+ customers across 5 million annual assessments—the learning has been immense. Today, I am at a place, where I am well versed in solving both- 0 to 1 product development problems & scaling existing mission-critical product horizontals. The only thing I want to do next is find another interesting problem to solve. I would love to combine the various spheres of technology, Consulting, Strategy , communication and team-building in my future endeavors.

Product Management Intern

Apr 2018May 2018 · 1 mo · Bangalore

  • As the only Product Management intern in the firm, got an opportunity to be at the fore-front of Ideation and Strategy-orientation of the Flagship product of the firm- worth 450 Million $. In this short stint of two months, not only did I have my phase-wise intended goals, but I also took upon the task of identifying both Short-term-curable and long-term-product betterment opportunities, based on an Overwhelming amount of Customer feedback information.
  • Spontaneous data crunching based on most granular information I could delve in, I presented fair amount of Problem-cause vs potential strategies summaries to the senior leadership- both Indian and International. Most importantly, I gave what was the most significant attribute I was hired for- A fresh perspective on the Products and eliminating Customer-Pain Points.
  • This experience made me learn the art of coordination between different teams and sub-teams and how small observations can translate into future Product feature implementations/ amendments.

Ey

Senior Software Engineer

Jul 2013Jun 2017 · 3 yrs 11 mos · Bangalore

  • The long journey- first of my corporate life was, in a nutshell- a blend of technical skills and Consulting know-how. From starting as an Application developer in advanced Microsoft technologies, I moved to being an owner of one or more bigger modules with a separate client-set and cross-functional teams.
  • From Applications to analytics and Business Intelligence, the transition was seamlessly smooth, made by the trust enlisted in me by the Senior Management and the wonderful bunch of seniors I had surrounding me. In a firm of such stature, handling International clients, working across time zones and in more than 3 teams simultaneously are skills which become intrinsic if one has the right work-ethic.
  • Being handpicked to represent the team into a new domain to leading projects, being single point of contact made me mature and I ingrained the responsibility part of Work. Translating the business requirements to technical requirements and being in dual roles at time, seeing the bigger picture were the highlights I picked up at the end of this exciting journey.
