Chris Leong is Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer at Ecolab, the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and the resources vital to life. She joined Ecolab in June 2025 and leads a global marketing, sustainability and innovation team that excels in understanding and delivering customer needs. Chris has extensive experience in transformational leadership and driving growth impact across continents and disciplines, including organizational and digital transformation, sustainable business strategies, sales and marketing across B2C and B2B industries. Prior to joining Ecolab, she served as Chief Marketing Officer at Schneider Electric for more than a decade and subsequently held the role of Chief Sustainability Officer. Previously, Chris worked at Nokia where she led their Greater China, Korea & Japan region, and was Senior Vice President Global Marketing, responsible for Nokia & Go-To- Market, brand and marketing across 80 markets. Prior to joining Nokia, Chris held various senior management roles in marketing communications firms, including WPP agencies Bates Asia, Ogilvy Europe and Grey Global Group, working with global brand leaders including P&G, Ford, HSBC, Heineken and various telecommunication brands.    Since 2022, Chris has been a member of Nestlé's Board of Directors and the Sustainability Committee, bringing expertise in brand, marketing, digital, sustainability and emerging economies. In this role, she contributes to the impact Nestlé is delivering to the lives of employees, consumers, shareholders, and communities alike.  Chris is a firm believer that purpose-led companies deliver strong resiliency and long-term growth, serving all stakeholders from investors to customers, employees, communities, and institutions. Chris has been recognized several times by Forbes in their World’s Most Influential CMOs Top 50 list since 2017, including in 2024, and by Sustainability Magazine in 2025 as #6 Top Sustainability Leaders globally and #1 Sustainability Leaders in APAC.
