About

After three years of unsuccessfully trying to convince my family that I wasn't cut out to be an engineer, I woke up one day, walked into the first open recruitment drive in Kolkata's IT Hub and got my first formal job at the age of 18. The only journey since then has been onward. I am a fundraising strategist with 10+ years of experience in resource mobilisation, partnerships, and storytelling for social impact. I support non-profit organisations and change makers of all kinds and scales to cultivate meaningful relationships, share their stories passionately, and secure funds for their causes. In 2023, I started Kohmorehbee (Japanese for sunlight filtered through tree leaves) to exponentially grow the support system for both philanthropists and non-profits. In the past, I have consulted for the Rainmatter Foundation, GROW Fund, YWNXT, Wipro Foundation, and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, among many others. I also serve on the board of Apni Shala Foundation, Haiyya and advisory board of Kshetra and The YP Foundation. My life's work has been to turn heartbreak into action. Working in the very midst of social injustice, I realise that the only thing that can get people together is positive change. I enthuse people and organisations about positive stories and opportunities, and support change makers in sharing their stories passionately to the world.
