Sundar leads the Business Development team at Amazon Internet Services Pvt Ltd (part of AWS globally). His team handles 5 types of activities, 1/ Migrations and Modernizations, 2/ Specialist Products like Analytics, storage, databases, AIML, HPC etc., 3/ Business Value Assessment, 4/ Digital Innovation using Amazon's innovation methodologies, and 5/ Industry BDs. This team has been instrumental in helping marquee customers across industries modernize and migrate large tracts of their IT estate and key applications including ERPs like SAP, core insurance, loan management and loan origination etc., to AWS. His team works across a range of technologies and helps customers build the business case to move to the cloud and define the road map to get there. Sundar last role before AWS was to set up and lead the Enterprise Architecture team in Oracle India from June 2015. Sundar and his team in particular focused on creating road maps for customers to move to public / hybrid clouds and in digitally transforming customer and employee experiences for Oracle's customers. He has extensive experience and expertise in complex solutions selling, running off shore sales consulting, business development, presales training / productivity and building high performance teams. Sundar has in the past helped establish a foothold in ERP and CRM for Oracle in India at a time when SAP and others had a stranglehold. Later Sundar moved to an APAC role where he helped grow the Database Options (Add ons to the core database) business considerably. Sundar also helped grow the private cloud revenues considerably in a short span of time. Over the last 2 decades, Sundar has developed tremendous exposure to the APAC market and to a wide range of solutions domains and industries, especially telecom, manufacturing and public sector. Sundar started his career in Maurti Udyog in the IT team and helped build systems for sales and dispatch and production / materials. He holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a B.Tech from IIT Madras.
