I found my way quite accidentally into startups in 2008 while trying to avoid a life at the refinery, pushing switches and pulling levers in 40 degree heat with the risk of "cold burning". Since, I have spent the last 17 years leading GTM journeys for India, SEA, ME, and the US at early and growth stage startups. [It gets hotter than the refinery some days, but there's never a dull moment!] Previously, I built the Marketing function at Vymo from the ground up, scaling Growth / Inside Sales / Brand teams, being part of a fantastic 20x growth in revenue from Series A to Series C, where we went from 40 people on one floor to 500+ folks in multiple continents! Earlier, I co-founded Wolf (Pulp Fiction reference), that worked on 100+ digital transformation projects for global clients. I bootstrapped the venture, led our pivot from services to products (rather unsuccessfully), and built a kickass team that helped us punch way above our weight! Aside, I run The Startup Operator podcast ('Top Show' on Apple / 'Featured' on Spotify / 400+ episodes), where I curate wisdom from India's growing startup ecosystem. We've featured the likes of Balaji Srinivasan (ex-Coinbase, Counsyl, A16Z), Rory Sutherland (Vice Chairman, Ogilvy), and Sridhar Vembu (Co-founder & CEO, Zoho) on the podcast.
