  • 2. SME business : At the end of my management associate stint, I was made a part of the commercial team where I became what in Citibank is known as Citibusiness Counselor.
  • I was given a portfolio of 400+ existing clients with a turnover between INR 0-130 Cr. with an aim to assist them in their foreign currency dealings, sell them new banking products, all as a part of increasing their wallet share & the overall revenues from these existing clients. At the same time, I was also tasked with acquiring new clients by working with the team of relationship managers assigned to me
  • In this role, I learned the art as well as the science behind sales and closures. Being an out and out sales role, I had my targets to be met and a lot of daily tasks to be accomplished which helped me learn how to juggle various responsibilities by prioritising, deligating and meeting deadlines. Not to forget, I forged some great relationships with these people and learned a great deal about handling critical relationships.
