  • Serving those who have served at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center was one of the greatest joys and honors of my medical career. The unselfish willingness of Americans who willing put their lives on the line for our country represents the bedrock of sacrifice that our democracy and freedom is based. Our veterans deserve the best we can give them. The VA health system is a top notch organization that provides superior care to our veterans. Honored to have been a small part of it.

  • Metro Lifeflight is one of the largest and most successful air-medical transport services in the United States. It was an incredible honor for me to be involved in this service transporting critical patients to different healthcare organizations and transporting patients directly from trauma scenes in the field to Level I trauma centers. Starting in 1999 when I took time off from my residency to pursue a research sabbatical, I flew extensively for 2 years. Our platform was two professional pilots, a highly skilled flight nurse, and a flight physician. An incredible learning experience teaching the value and importance of teamwork.
