About

Hey, I'm Karan Jariwala! Always curious and a "junior dev for life" at heart, even as I've navigated through some high-impact roles. Here's the lowdown. Rippling was the biggest and hyper growth chapter of my journey. Joined at seed stage and stayed through its meteoric rise to an $11B valuation. I cut my teeth as a Frontend Engineer, owning the HRIS module and building foundational components like Flow and Document Editor. These became the basis for many verticals within the company. Moved into a Full Stack role, where I crafted projects like Role Transition Flow and Employee Lifecycle Management. These weren't just features; they were critical to Rippling's operation, smoothing out everything from onboarding to off boarding. Eventually ascended to Engineering Manager, overseeing a growing full stack team across multiple geographies. We tackled projects spanning employee life cycles to organisational management, shaping the company's critical user experience. Before all this, at Practo, I was the go-to guy for the Doctor Scheduler Module. Consider it as a google calendar for doctors. Did more than code; initiated tech meet-ups, penned blogs, and contributed to Practo's engineering brand. Got multiple blogs published to engineering blogs there. At Blee, I immersed myself in startup architecture and AI tool development during the foundational 0-to-1 phase, where I thrive. Our efforts yielded a tool for vetting compliance material, demonstrating our capacity to innovate from scratch. Currently at Toku, our focus is on constructing a Token grant administration from the ground up, reimagining it in its ideal form. Brainstorming, white-boarding, and bringing ideas to fruition is immensely gratifying. Kicked off my career post-graduation from VIT and gained some initial experience at Cerner, but those were the stepping stones to where I am now. Tech? JS, Node.js, and recently LLMs or Crypto, but let's save that for another chat. Open to new challenges and always up for a solid tech discussion. Let’s connect! 🤝
