About

I started out in agency recruitment in 2007, then moved in-house at Facebook, where I spent three years helping grow the EMEA People team from 30 to 300+. That experience shaped how I think about scale, judgement, and how quickly standards slip if you are not deliberate about protecting them. I set up Re:work in 2017 to focus on doing the work I enjoy most. I built a small team, working closely with a limited number of tech companies at a time, usually when People or Talent hiring becomes complex, ambiguous, or hard to get right. Most of our work is embedded. We sit in-house alongside founders, CEOs, and People and Talent leaders, taking responsibility for senior and critical hiring end to end. That often means helping teams get clear on the right hire, designing thoughtful interview processes, and strengthening decision-making. We’ve been lucky to work with some incredible brands across Europe, mainly during periods of rapid growth or change. What matters to me is the same on every project we agree to take on. Be a respected partner, keep the bar high, and leave the team in a better place than when we arrived. I try my best to stay on top of my inbox here, but feel free to nudge me if I’m slow to reply. We mainly advertise roles directly through our clients’ career pages, so applying there is usually the best way to reach the right recruiter in the team.

Managing Director

Jan 2017Present · 9 yrs 2 mos · Remote

  • After ten years in recruitment, I wanted to build something of my own. In 2017 I started Re:work, shaped around the kind of work I believe in and the way I like to partner.
  • Most of what we do is embedding into People and Talent teams and helping them scale from the inside, usually in fast-growing tech companies where hiring quality actually matters.
  • I like working with teams that set the bar high, think long term, and genuinely care about how they hire. Occasionally I’ll take on something different if it feels like the right challenge.
  • I choose partnerships carefully and I’m always clear about what’s realistic. What I’m most proud of is the trust we’ve built and the reputation for doing high-quality, thoughtful work.

Senior Recruiter, HR & TA

Mar 2014Dec 2016 · 2 yrs 9 mos · County Dublin, Ireland · On-site

  • I was the first R4R and HR recruiter in Europe, and helped scale the EMEA Recruiting and People function from 30 to over 300. Along the way, I built a 90-day onboarding program for recruiters and hired across G&A, Sales and Marketing in Dublin, London, Berlin, Tel Aviv and Warsaw.
  • I’ve never worked harder in my life, and I loved it. But I also knew that I wasn’t built for big corporate life. So I set a goal: figure out how to do my own thing by the time I turned 30.
  • When I told people I was leaving to go back to agency, no one was particularly excited for me. But I had €15k in the bank and just the right amount of delusion to think it might be the best decision I’d ever make.
  • That’s how Re:work started. No grand business plan, just a clear sense of the kind of work I wanted to do and the kind of companies I wanted to work with.

HR Recruitment Consultant

  • I started out as a journalism graduate with no real skills to offer, unless you count sky-high anxiety. Somehow, I ended up building the HR recruitment practice for three agencies.
  • Two of them were KPI hell and, honestly, pretty traumatic. Just thinking about it still makes my spine hurt.
  • Wallace Myers changed everything. It gave me confidence and proved I didn’t need to be a salesy monster to do well in agency recruitment.
  • I had zero plans to move in-house, until Facebook came along with an 11-month contract and the promise of endless free food. I struggle to say no to snacks.
