About

I'm a content marketing strategist and brand storyteller who helps B2B brands reduce their cost of acquisition, develop their personality, and gain share-of-attention in crowded industries. Currently, I'm stackin' content for Contentstack, the world's first adaptive digital experience platform đŸ’ȘđŸ˜€ In my previous role with Vitally, I built the largest and most engaged expert content community in the B2B Customer Success space, and dramatically improved the size of our marketing net (150% increase in organic blog traffic, 6X increase of newsletter audience, 7X increase in YouTube views + 13X increase in watch hours) Before that, as Nutshell's Head of Content and Communications / VP of Marketing, I 100X’d+ the brand's organic blog traffic (235,000 total search visits to the blog in Q1 2021 compared to just 2,000 in Q4 2016) and turned blog content into our most efficient lead-gen channel. As a 5-time Jeopardy! champion in June 2023, I was able to generate $50K in revenue in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment : ) In my spare time, I play drums for the Radiohead tribute band The Bends (thebendsband.com) and I'm the author of the fiction novella "I've Heard Some Wild Stories About That Band" (self-published in Dec 2025, available here: https://www.amazon.com/Heard-Some-Wild-Stories-About/dp/B0G5GVBG4B/ ) Always happy to get coffee and talk shop.

Content Marketing Manager

Aug 2016 – Apr 2020 · 3 yrs 8 mos

  • As Content Marketing Manager, my notable responsibilities and accomplishments included:
  • Directing content strategy for Nutshell's "Sell to Win" blog, and increasing organic search visits to the blog 64X from Q4 2016 (2,000 visits) to Q1 2020 (129,000 visits). Fun fact: In January 2017, the Nutshell blog generated just 8.7% of Nutshell.com's total organic search traffic. Through my content and SEO efforts, that percentage increased nearly every single month, reaching 85% in January 2020.
  • Launching our “Sell to Win” blog newsletter, and building the subscriber base from 400 to 25,000+
  • Developing the blog into a dependable, cost-effective lead generation channel. In Q1 2017, just 19 Nutshell trial signups originated in blog entrances, compared to 403 in Q1 2020, a 21X increase. In November 2019, the Nutshell blog began producing more sales-qualified leads than our Google Ads account. Woo-hoo!
  • Building and managing a stable of well-known sales experts and authors to provide original contributions to Nutshell’s blog, including Brian Tracy, David Hoffeld, Jeb Blount, Lori Richardson, Tim Sanders, Koka Sexton, Ryan Dohrn, and Charlene DeCesare.
  • Co-producing Nutshell's annual virtual sales conference, BOUNDLESS, in the role of talent booker and head writer. Check out the BOUNDLESS 2020 replay right here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoLQikdPun7fR5RJnVXoJkS6nXOHVh0E0
  • Serving as lead writer for all other Nutshell marketing efforts, including marketing video scripts, thought leadership, email drip campaigns, product tour pages, and SEO-focused landing pages.
