• I had the opportunity to delve into the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) within Commerce and Management. This involved extensive research, including a literature review and in-depth analysis of ancient Indian financial and strategic frameworks. This endeavour led me to author two research reports, exploring how historical governance and decision-making models continue to offer valuable insights for modern finance and management.
• The first report, "Treasury Management System—Public Finance in Ancient India," examines ancient fiscal policies, revenue administration, and treasury management techniques, drawing parallels with contemporary public finance systems. The second report, "Strategic Decision Making in Mahabharata," provides a structured analysis of the epic's leadership, negotiation, and crisis management strategies, highlighting their relevance to today’s business environment. Both reports involved a rigorous literature review, comparative analysis, and structured articulation of findings to bridge historical insights with modern-day applications.
• This research experience enhanced my ability to analyze and interpret historical financial and strategic models and honed my skills in academic writing, critical thinking, and structured research methodology. Understanding the intersection of ancient wisdom and contemporary business practices has been an enlightening journey, reinforcing the timeless relevance of strategic and financial governance principles.
