A brief Introduction of DFY:
Established in year 2007, ’Doctors for You’ (DFY) is the largest network of Doctors, Medical Students and Concerned citizen, having a vision to cater “Health-care for Everyone”.
DFY has build capacity & has demonstrated work, in community based disaster risk reduction, public healthcare, training of nursing staffs & medicos, and emergency disaster response in almost every disaster occurred in south-east Asia since 2008.
DFY is working with underserved communities in the 18 states of India, providing efficient, effective and equitable distribution of health care for everyone.
The vision of DFY is to provide affordable & quality medical relief, sustainable & robust healthcare services, capacity building & risk reduction activities in crisis or otherwise.
COVID-19 Response of DFY:
Immediately after Covid-19 started spreading its wings in India, DFY started the first outsourced model of Covid care centre to take care of mild & moderate cases, in Mumbai, in association with its decade old partner MMRDA.
After witnessing the success of Mumbai model, Delhi Govt. immediately invited DFY to set-up the first Covid Care Centre of Delhi in association with LNJP hospital. Subsequently, Delhi Govt. assigned the Common Wealth Games (CWG) and DFY converted it to a 500+ beaded make shift hospital within 6 days of record time, in association with LBS hospital.
By involving young nursing staff and specialised OPD from Endocrinologist, MD Medicine, Dermatologist and Paediatric consultation, DFY is presently managing 15+ Covid care Centres in 6+ states in India.
Under the ‘Protect the Protectors’ Program, DFY is providing PPE Kits, Masks, Face Shields, Gloves and Covid-19 special trainings to 100+ hospitals across India.
DFY is also engaging with the group of engineers, technocrats, and industrialists to solve the critical devices, tools & infrastructure associated with various segments of Covid-19 mitigation.
