About

Hey, I'm Jess. I'm a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and founder of Equalital, a talent intelligence platform built on performance science. I started Equalital because I kept seeing the same problem. Organisations making their highest-stakes decisions about who to hire, who to promote, and who to develop on the weakest possible evidence. Job descriptions copied from last time. CVs. Gut instinct. The science on what actually predicts performance has been clear for decades, yet most organisations aren't using it, and they certainly aren't doing it at scale. I care deeply about two things. Helping organisations make better decisions about their people, and tackling the challenge of socioeconomic mobility. Because talent is everywhere, but opportunity isn't. Think about the gamer building spatial reasoning that no CV captures, or the carer developing resilience that most leadership programmes try to teach. These are real, measurable skills that remain invisible to every traditional hiring process. Our platform combines performance science, skills intelligence, and AI to help organisations see what others are missing. Importantly, we don't replace your judgement, we strengthen it. Your leaders set the priorities. The science sets the boundaries. Our technology makes it scalable. If you're curious then reach out! I always love to connect.

  • We want businesses to fundamentally rethink entry level talent - doing away with recruitment based on academics and focusing on potential.
  • Only in doing this can we create a truly equitable careers landscape for young people from marginalised backgrounds.

  • I lead Equalital's strategy and product design.
  • I spent years as the customer of the product we are building. We are building around exactly where the gap was: organisations had neither the science nor the tools to make evidence-based decisions about their people at scale.
  • As the talent landscape rapidly evolves and humans become increasingly augmented by technology, the need to understand what people are truly capable of has never been more critical.
  • Equalital was designed for this moment and this augmented future.
