Thomas Saueressig — CEO
As an executive board member of SAP, I am responsible for customer services and delivery as well as long-term customer value in the cloud. My responsibility includes all business areas in customer services, comprising professional services, premium engagements, customer innovation services, and customer support. In addition, I’m leading cloud infrastructure, cloud operations, cloud lifecycle management, and private cloud delivery for SAP’s global customer base. I believe software is a people business. It’s about connecting people and enabling them to harness the power of technology to create sustainable innovation. In Customer Services & Delivery we help customers drive their business transformation, while maximizing the benefits of the cloud and AI. On a personal level, I'm a family man who enjoys skiing, exploring different cultures, and always seeking out new experiences. I'm also a coffee enthusiast who enjoys the simple pleasure of making a great cup of coffee. Since April 2022, I’ve had the honor of serving on the Board of Directors of Nokia – a company that is as committed to innovation and technology leadership as I am. It’s an absolute privilege for me to be part of the Nokia mission to create technology that helps the world act together. That’s an aspiration that perfectly aligns to my core values. I think that collaborating with people from different background, cultures and experiences not only expands our horizons but also challenges us to think outside of our own perspectives. By working together, we can create solutions that have a positive impact on the world. We must set ambitious goals, roll up our sleeves, and work hard to achieve them. But it’s not just about achieving success for ourselves. Giving back to the community is also important for me. In the end, it all comes down to the power of people. By connecting, collaborating and constantly striving to improve, we can harness the full potential of technology to deliver sustainable innovation that benefits us all.
