Creating opportunities and managing center efforts to translate Darden faculty research into actions that practitioners can apply within their organizations. Promoting Darden collective expertise on topics of global importance through center initiatives, including innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and artificial intelligence. Co-lead of Darden's Advisory Council on Sustainability, which is tasked to guide implementation of the school's 2030 goals. Worked on the special task group that developed the 2030 operational and educational goals. Co-author of The Decarbonization Imperative: Transforming our Global Economy by 2050 (Stanford Press 2021). Prior to joining UVA Darden, consulted the U.S. EPA on the ENERGY STAR Labeled Products program for 15 years, developing industry partnerships and working with multiple stakeholders to develop program and product performance requirements. Worked with EPA to launch and manage the ENERGY STAR Emerging Technology Award, which recognizes cutting edge technologies with the potential to significantly reduce GHG emissions but face barriers to market entry. More than 20 years of experience in the environmental and energy fields. Advised government and private clients such as the U.S. EPA, U.S. DOE, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, NYSERDA, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae on environmental liabilities and property risks, outreach and program development, energy efficiency, pollution prevention, and waste management reduction programs.
