Kumar Manish — Co-Founder
Kumar Manish is the State & Communications Lead for She Works, a project by IPE Global working to accelerate Female Labour Force Participation Rate (FLFPR) in Gujarat. He works at the intersection of gender, skilling, and economic inclusion — engaging government departments on gender-responsive skilling policy, mobilising private sector partners and business associations, and driving media strategies that build aspirations for women in futuristic and high-growth jobs. A digital media strategist and communication professional with over 18 years of experience, Kumar has supported startups, academic institutions, NGOs, and international development organisations — including UNICEF India, YuWaah, Centre for Communication of Child Rights (CCCR)-PDEU, Peace Revolution, Humane Society International, CEPT University, Karnavati University, and PDEU University. He is the founder of UrbanVoices.in, a platform dedicated to "cities for people" that raises urban issues, amplifies citizen voices, and documents best practices. He also manages Xamdavad, a community platform for X (formerly Twitter) users, and co-founded Responsibly Digital (ReDi), a digital dialogue initiative on social media for social good. Earlier in his career, Kumar worked as a senior correspondent with The Times of India, covering civic beats including BRTS, cycle sharing, and non-motorised transport. He subsequently served as Communication Officer at the Institute for Transportation & Development Policy (ITDP) and Head of Communication at the Centre for Green Mobility (CGM). His recognitions include being selected among 200 trainers for the Google & Dataleads ADiRA (AI for Digital Readiness & Advancement) programme, being named a LinkedIn Top Voice and Fellow of Linked Creators India, and receiving the Connect Karo 2016 Award from the World Resources Institute, USA. Kumar is a TEDx speaker, a Legislative Fellow of the US State Department, a Swedish Institute Fellow, and a former curator of Ahmedabad Global Shapers (World Economic Forum). He was awarded the Centre for Science & Environment Media Fellowship (2010) and the Unnati Fellowship for Development Journalism (2009), and was selected among 25 youth from South Asia for the British Council-supported T4T climate change workshop. Kumar is open to senior advisory, leadership, or directorial roles in communication, gender & social inclusion, CSR, or development impact — where strategy meets storytelling and drives meaningful change.
