I stumbled into IT recruitment in 1995. Twenty-nine years and 1,000 personal placements later, I finally understand why it clicked. I left school with nothing, but I knew I was smart. While others studied theory, I worked an apprenticeship. I learned by doing, failing, and creating. That curiosity became my edge. At 50, I discovered I was dyslexic and ADHD. Suddenly, my life made sense. I have always seen things differently. I see patterns others overlook. I see stories waiting to be told. I see brands and business ideas sitting right there, unnoticed. That is what drew me to recruitment. I do not just see CVs. I see people and potential. I see what they could become with the right map. In 2003, I built EMBS. It was a business shaped by instinct, empathy, and a belief that tech talent deserves more. Three decades in the trenches has taught me a few things: * I have placed over 1,000 IT professionals across every discipline. * I have helped scale hundreds of tech teams from the ground up. * I have gained deep insider knowledge of how this industry works. Today, the landscape is shifting. Tech companies face skill shortages and AI disruption. Professionals are fighting algorithms that reward noise over substance. This is my mission to smash ageism in STEM. It is a platform I built in 10 days for a few hundred pounds. It is now scaling rapidly worldwide. It proves that when you combine experience with AI, you become unstoppable. My philosophy is simple. Recruitment should be human. Coaching should be real. Success should feel like freedom.
