I am Hasini, a 17-year-old social Enterprenuer #youtuber, Young Nutrition Ambassador for the Government of Tamilnadu, and the Youngest Journalist . I am also a freelance writer for The Hindu In School, a public speaker, and the founder of Guiding Young Minds Monthly Magazine. My passion for empowering children led me to start The First Step, a platform where I interview young achievers and showcase their journeys. My mission is to inspire children to believe in themselves and their abilities, and I truly believe that all children are born with the qualities of being geniuses. UNICEF in collaboration with Yuwaah and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India is hosting the #ImPact With Youth Conclave in Chennai on 12 August 2023 in Chennai. The conclave is being organized to celebrate the international youth day. This conclave is poised to champion the co-creation of change and the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals with youth, with a central focus on this year's International Youth Day theme – Green Skills.
On the occasion, Ms Cynthia McCaffrey, Representative, UNICEF India delivered the introductory remarks while Mr Sanjay Wijesekera, Regional Director, UNICEF South Asia Region and Mr Shombi Sharp, United Nations Resident Coordinator, India joined online and Mr Anurag Thakur, Hon'ble Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, and Minister of Information and Broadcasting was the chief guest at the event.
Five young delegates will also be participating from the south Asia region. Ms Hasini Lakshminarayanan, a 14-year-old delegate from Chennai was present at the event venue.
