Thays Prado — Co-Founder
I am a feminist futurist filmmaker. Founder of Feminist Futures, I have worked with women and girls from over 35 countries using the power of storytelling and film to envision the futures they want to see come true – for themselves, their communities, and the world – and influence policy changes and societal transformations. A 2023 NGFP Fellow, School of International Futures alumni, Vice-President of the Foresight Europe Network, and co-founder of Women Who Future(s). I hold a master’s degree in Gender, Media, and Culture from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Professional Screenwriting degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism from the University of Minas Gerais, in Brazil. For 18 years, I have worked with various UN agencies (UN Women, UNHCR, UN Global Compact, UNICEF, and UNFCCC) and international NGOs and feminist funds (BBC Media Action, Women Win, Plan International, Urgent Action Fund, Feminist Dream Space, and the Centre for Sport and Human Rights) to foster global impact.
