I come from a small, but a beautiful country, nestled between the mighty Caucasus Mountains and restless waves of the Caspian Sea. My childhood unfolded in the fragile aftermath of the Soviet Union’s collapse. Growing up in a modest family of five (six, if we count our dog Woofly) resourcefulness was a necessity we practiced. We learned to repair instead of replace and to adapt instead of complain. Resilience was something we lived. But don’t get me wrong, this is not a sob story, because [spoiler alert] it worked out perfectly for me. I managed to earn a full scholarship and study Human Resource Management in UK. Over the past 10 years I’ve done what I am most passionate about: helping companies build incredibly talented, diverse and exceptional teams. After 4 years of working at Booking.com, I was ready for the next chapter of my career. I saw companies with great culture and mission, and those with amazing product or services, struggle to attract the right talent, use tools that don’t work, and make hiring decisions that cost them time and money. I realised that the system hurts both candidates and organisations. But there is a solution. By implementing the right approaches, tools and mindset that make the hiring journey effective, easy, and enjoyable for everyone involved. That's how I decided to start a Recruitment Optimisation Company: Ambify Advisory. When I tell people about what I do, some assume it’s just another recruitment agency. But I do something, I believe, is far more impactful. Think of it this way: I don't "catch the fish" for you. I give you the right gear, take you to the pond where the fish you need swims, and teach you techniques and nuances that are proven to work. So you can catch your own fish, even when I am not around.
