  • If you think you understand something, try teaching it to people with no experience or exposure to your domain.
  • As practitioners, we tend to take so much for granted – mental models, operating models, relationships, and so on. Teaching forces you to go back to first-principles thinking and question everything you take for granted. So, when TAPMI reached out, it was a no-brainer.
  • Getting started was scary – defining learning outcomes, designing the course, the teaching materials, assignments, evaluation tools and so on. I’m grateful for several colleagues in academia who gladly helped in the journey.
  • The experience has been hugely satisfying. The students all have 2-4 years of prior work experience, which helps them connect the course with their lived experience. They are engaged and participative. TAPMI’s campus in Bangalore is state-of-the-art and is poised to compete with the best in their peer group.
  • What started out as a desire to pay it forward is turning out to be a refresh- and recharge- experience.
