Andrew Warner — CEO
Here’s my story: I grew up in Queens where teachers told me I’d never get a job. But my dad showed me the Manhattan skyline and said, “Those were built by entrepreneurs who wanted to do more than get a job.” After college, my brother and I bootstrapped a greeting card and email business. We nearly went broke, but pushed through to: • 400K cards sent daily • 20M email subscribers • $38M in annual revenue Then I burned out. Sold the business. Moved to the beach in LA. People kept asking me how to create their own startups and I loved helping. So I launched Mixergy to help founders like me an interviewed 2,000+ builders from Airbnb to Pixar. But over time, the startup world changed. It was more about fundraising and less about building. So I left, bought land in Austin, and learned the guitar. Recently something got me fired up: a friend showed me how to create software using Claude Code. It was so much easier than I imagined. I wanted to learn more. • Who's creating software using AI? • Is anyone actually making money with these vibe-coded apps? • What other tools are fun to play with? To learn I started a new YouTube channel, where I'm interviewing founders and learning from them. Follow along on TheNextNewThing.AI/YouTube (link in bio 😀)
