Flagstone ReInsurance has a legacy product called FrameWork II which is used by the underwriters for the insurance calculations and for generating the reports. This product is a desktop application developed in VB, the same product is getting updated into a web application using Silverlight at the front end to give a desktop application feel to the user and also using WCF services to communication with Oracle backend. Underwriting data from different databases is migrated and integrated by ETL packages using SSIS and reports are generated using SSAS and SSRS.
