• As part of this role, my core responsibilities were to make our product work on Redhat’s OpenShift platform. I worked with a team of 15 engineers, led the design and implementation to do it successfully. We successfully migrated 10 of our customers to Redhat’s OpenShift model to save costs. Post this, I was offered the role of engineering manager to assume people management responsibilities.

• The charter of my teams was to transform our product from onprem offering to Hybrid cloud offering that can partly run on cloud as well as onprem. We successfully migrated 5 of our big customers to hybrid cloud solution that was deployed successfully on GCP, AWS, Azure and IBM cloud. Post this successful delivery, I was promoted to engineering architect.

• I was tasked to address the product performance issues that our customers were complaining. To address it, I worked with customers to understand the problems, profiled the user and order slows and redesigned the the core modules achieve the scalable performance results. My work was critical for customers successfully operate during peak traffic (e.g. Black Friday, Cyber Monday), hence I was promoted to Staff Software engineer in 2013.

• I joined this startup in Dec 2010 as the architect and development manager to build a university management product to automate university management functions such as student onboarding (profile creation), fees payment, course assignment and results processing. I was the second employee of the company (after the CEO and founder) and hired 15 other engineers to lead the development of the product from scratch.
• Key Accomplishments:
• 1. Successfully delivered core product in 6 months and deployed it in Manipal University across 5 locations (India as well as international campuses) in less than a year.
• 2. I lead the software design and development of Students Portal, Fees Management and Student registration myself and deployed it in different environments provided by university.
• 3. Groomed and nurtured 15 team members, 3 of them received awards in various disciplines.

• Trilogy was the first company I joined after graduation and I got to work on multiple products during my stay with the company. I started with Distribution Channel Management™ (DCM) product that was used by multiple insurance companies such as Ameriprise, Pacific Life, MetLife to manage compensation payouts to their brokers and agents. I developed the reporting module of DCM that was released to all customers with DCM v3.5 and owned the migration of test build infrastructure from legacy systems. After a year, I joined another team to upgrade Orange Business Telecom’s order management solution to the latest version of Multi-Channel Commerce product suite released by Trilogy. This product provided Workflow Engine, Product Configurator that Orange business Telecom used for order management.
• Key Accomplishments:-
• 1. Successfully upgraded the DCM offering for Orange Business Telecom. I had to resolve numerous dependency issues to upgrade and fix compatibility errors. Along with it, we certified the product on JDK 1.5 and Oracle 10g.
• 2. Received Customer Success award in 2010 as an endorsement from Orange business telecom’s manager appreciating my work to deliver results in tight timelines.
• 3. Developed various product features in DCM reporting and successfully delivered on time.
• 4. Successfully migrated and tested frameworks for another product called Commission from legacy build system (TBS) to the latest build system (VBS). This involved migrating approx. 80 projects including third party binaries. The project was successfully completed on time in a month with aggressive timelines.
