About

I came into QA without a traditional path, bootcamp educated, self-trained on the job, and thrown into the deep end from day one. What I've built from that starting point is something I'm genuinely proud of. I served as the sole QA on the web dashboard for a COVID-19 testing platform whose work helped reopen the NBA bubble, Disneyland, and live events across the country. I single-handedly built and maintained a test suite of 807 cases, a foundation detailed enough that it later became the blueprint for the platform's test automation effort. From there I moved into QA Management, leading a remote team across a 12.5-hour time difference, building async workflows and managing competing priorities across roughly 20 active projects simultaneously. I've since grown into a role where I function as a one-man QA department, which means jumping into unfamiliar projects with minimal documentation, getting up to speed fast, and delivering clean releases consistently. I work across mobile, web, and IoT, including healthcare-adjacent projects requiring HL7 compliance, and I've gotten very good at context switching without dropping the ball. If a project is complex, fast-moving, and a little chaotic, that's where I do my best work.

  • At Treeline, a fast-paced product development firm with a startup feel, I lead and manage a remote QA team distributed across time zones. I built the team from the ground up in India, mentoring each engineer closely as their skills and output have grown steadily over time. I work directly with project managers and release managers to coordinate seamless, defect-free launches — all while staying hands-on with manual testing across multiple client projects when needed.
  • In an environment where flexibility is critical, I wear a lot of hats — context switching between mobile, web, and platform testing, adapting test plans to shifting requirements, and jumping into execution, triage, or strategy depending on where the team needs support most.
  • Impact Highlights:
  • Built a scalable offshore QA team model that enabled support for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Strengthened QA coverage and reduced production issues by improving test planning and execution rigor
  • Accelerated release timelines by streamlining cross-functional communication and testing workflows
  • Fostered a QA culture rooted in ownership, autonomy, and continuous growth

Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Aug 2020Oct 2022 · 2 yrs 2 mos · San Diego, California, United States

  • As the sole QA engineer for the web dashboard of a high-stakes healthcare project during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was responsible for ensuring the quality of a platform that reported real-time data to the U.S. government. This platform directly supported the reopening of major institutions like the NBA “bubble,” Disneyland, and large-scale concert venues — making accuracy and reliability non-negotiable.
  • To meet the demands of the role, I taught myself HL7 (a standard for exchanging health information electronically) and worked closely with engineers and stakeholders to validate critical data flows. I created and maintained a comprehensive test plan consisting of 60 sections and 807 test cases, which I executed consistently to ensure defect-free releases in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Impact Highlights:
  • Helped power critical reopening decisions across the U.S. by ensuring healthcare data accuracy and system uptime
  • Delivered multiple successful releases with zero critical defects
  • Became proficient in HL7 to validate healthcare data integrations
  • Built and owned a detailed test plan tailored to evolving product requirements
