About

I am a chemical engineer by training with 28+ years of experience (15+ years in refining & 13+ years in petrochemicals) in oil and gas industry, including last 19+ years in Shell at Bangalore, Amsterdam and Singapore. I am thrilled with technology and contributed to the areas of R&D/ process development, design/ licensing, catalysis, process safety, projects, and advanced technical support to the assets both as individual contributor as well as in leadership roles. I have delivered value to the customers by having strong collaboration and working in Natural Teams to provide accelerated solutions, to the tune of > US$ 2 billion over the last 10 years. My primary contribution has been in diverse R&D and process development/ scale-up themes (discovery through demonstration to deployment), laboratory set up and applications, process engineering (projects, process safety studies, design/ licensing) and advanced technical support to the sites (optimisation & troubleshooting). Further, I have proven leadership capability of working in and managing global teams. I have built and led diverse, multi-cultural global teams and developed a vision/ culture of co-operation and focused delivery via coaching and mentoring. I consider my collaboration skills as well as stakeholders management to be of great help in creating a positive business impact. Owing to my proven skill, capability, and experience in multiple aspects of technology, design, and projects management, in addition to my impactful on-site technical and operational support, I consider myself suitable to help any industry fulfil ambitious objectives in technology Innovations and leadership. Note: I work for Shell, but I don’t speak on behalf of the company. All my posts and reactions in LinkedIn platform represent my personal views and reflection.
