About

My career in education spans over three decades, within one decade in the National Curriculum (C.B.S.E: Central Board of Secondary Education) and close to two decades in the International curricula of the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and the IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program) as well as educational services. I have been determined to translate my experience in teaching to fulfill my vision of addressing the gaps in skills and competency for success in internationally-benchmarked educational programmes. My zest for empowering students and institutions led me to start an entrepreneurial journey with CourseLeap Education in 2016 and we work with students and schools in the international curriculum. The challenging IB Diploma Program steered my teaching towards problem solving. I believe in keeping students completely engaged, motivated, on task, challenged and proud of their learning through opportunities of decision making and exploration of better methods. That became the genesis of our students’ courses at CourseLeap, which seek to develop critical thinking, and intellectually stimulating programs for students to ultimately drive problem solving, genuine self-research, and learning. As Head of Faculty Mathematics & Director Academics at DAIS, I led the development of curriculum and academic policies, as well as actively mentoring and developing large faculty teams and numerous students. Additionally, with experience and specialization in Educational Leadership and Management I have the expertise to provide niche and focussed core academic consulting services to many leading, progressive international schools. As a part of CourseLeap Consult now, I work with school managements across the country on strategy for expansion, data driven analysis for continuous improvement, and coordinating for effective organizational and instructional leadership practices that directly impacts students’ learning and strengthens their performance on internationally benchmarked standards. Through my association with institutions such as CIS, Council of International Schools and IB Educator Network, I have the privilege to stay up to date with current curricular reforms and focus on school improvement in Indian international schools to deliver high quality global practices. Our next generation of students deserves quality education and teacher preparedness to meet that aim. I have always imparted to my students and peers to understand that in our profession we never stop assessing ourselves and our techniques.
