I’ve built most of what I know by doing the work, not by having the right background. I don’t consider myself the smartest person in the room. I rely on working smart, using the 80/20 rule, and learning from people who are better than me. That’s how I’ve always operated. I take the role, get my hands dirty, and figure things out along the way. I joined an ads agency without an ads background and learned on the job. I did the same with SEO. I applied everywhere, got in, trained myself, and improved through real work. I had no experience running events either, but I still started doing them. That’s how the community side began. Over time, one belief became clear to me. If I can simplify something enough to do it myself, then anyone else can too. That belief is what led me to build The Blueprints, Link Validator and Link Building Mastery. Each started as a problem I faced while doing the work, not an idea on a whiteboard. Today, I focus on simplifying marketing and growth so founders can execute instead of getting stuck in theory or waiting to feel ready. I’ve missed opportunities by chasing perfection. What I learned instead is to take the leap, get in the room, learn from experts, and figure it out as you go. That’s how everything I’ve built started.
