About

Most Indians eat atta that’s been sitting in storage for months. It is milled at ~1,500 RPM, where the heat removes nutrients and natural oils before the flour even leaves the factory. Then it sits in warehouses, heavily processed just to survive the wait. And in the end, we pay more for atta that is anything but fresh. After building Milkbasket into India’s largest micro-delivery platform (acquired by Reliance), I knew India’s staples market needed a reset. Fresh staples should not be a luxury. That’s why I started Anmasa. Here’s how we do it differently: → Mill only after you order → Grind at 50 RPM on natural stone (No emery stone and not at 1,500) → Offer live milling in-store or deliver fresh to your door in 90 minutes → Remove middlemen to ensure affordability and maximum freshness (good food should be everyone’s right) Traction so far: ✓ 10 stores launched ✓ Pre-seed round closed ✓ Achieving strong repeat rates And we’re expanding beyond atta: wood-pressed oils, freshly ground spices, and minimally processed staples — all built on the same principle of freshness without shortcuts. The opportunity ahead is vast. Staples form a $10-billion-plus market in India, and we believe fresh, minimally processed foods can become the default choice in every home. If you believe in our mission to make fresh, minimally processed food the norm, let’s connect at yatish@anmasa.com
