• This involved working with actors on a broad range of marketing and both long and short term publicity campaigns.
• I was responsible for gathering information for press packs, writing press releases, pitching clients to various broadcast and broadsheet media outlets in order to secure appropriate coverage as well as working with clients and senior publicists to develop publicity strategies.
• In crafting a press campaign, I worked closely with the client and their teams to select a photographer for promotional photos, hire a freelance writer to pen interviews, and work with other press teams to design and update social networking pages.
• I was expected to analyze the market to determine which outlet best reflected the client and the project, keep in constant contact with press to ensure I was up to date on journalists, outlets and new and emerging talent, as well as coordinating press conferences and helping clients ready themselves for press launches and events. This involved arranging travel, accommodation and dressing.
• This role required me to be great problem-solver, organized, and extremely knowledgeable about the media, resourceful and communicate to a very high level both on paper and verbally.
