  • As an Assistant Store Manager, I was responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience from their entry to exit. I maintained a front-end staff of 15 – 18 and was responsible for hiring vacant positions, providing and delegating training, and working with my staff to keep the store in operating order. I wrote their schedule and performed the disciplinary process as needed, with dotted line authority. I also indirectly supervised 4 Shift Leaders; I provided training, delegated high level tasks, and made hiring and disciplinary recommendations to the Store Manager. I worked closely with vendors to ensure that the right products are coming in and used proprietary inventory software to manage warehouse deliveries and ensure that there are items on the shelf to sell. I spent a great deal of time on the sales floor interacting with my customers to make sure that they find the products that they need and enjoy their shopping experience.
  • In addition to duties inside my own store, I was also head of our community’s Delight Drivers. This group is responsible for driving a positive customer experience and seeing that born out through our receipt survey system. As the Head Driver, I monitored each store’s survey scores and provided this information to my team through e-mails, conference calls, and quarterly meetings with other Drivers from our district where I facilitated portions of the meeting for the whole group and provided information and training to my team to take back to their stores. I lead the most improved team of stores in the district and, at one point, the market.
