About

Senior Software Engineer focused on building shared frontend infrastructure that other engineers build on top of. Design systems, component platforms, monorepo tooling, developer workflows. Right now I’m building Luxe, the design system and frontend component platform at Saks. Built it from scratch. Design tokens, component library, icon pipeline, monorepo tooling. I’ve run point on every cross-team adoption conversation personally, including alignment with marketing and product leadership. I’ve also been working on what AI actually changes in platform engineering. My view is that cheap code generation shifts the real work upstream, toward problem framing, system boundaries, and knowing what you can’t let break. I’ve been putting that into practice with structured agent workflows and a distributed AI agent architecture I designed and proposed internally. My background spans React, TypeScript, Node.js, and multi-brand design system development across large-scale organizations.

  • Identified a fragmented component landscape across roughly ten consuming teams. No shared token layer, inconsistent UI, teams maintaining their own forks. Proposed and built Luxe, the company’s first shared design system and frontend component platform, from scratch. Chose the monorepo architecture and designed the full system: design tokens, component library, icon pipeline, and tooling layer.
  • Took on cross-team adoption without being asked. Ran point on every conversation personally, including alignment with marketing and product leadership on scope, sequencing, and legacy platform migration paths. Currently in production across multiple web teams with iOS onboarded and React Native in discussion.
  • Saw a gap in how our team could use AI for real engineering work. Independently designed an autonomous agent architecture using Goose with bidirectional Jira integration for ticket-driven development workflows. Built a working prototype and submitted a formal proposal currently in security review.
  • Started experimenting with structured AI-assisted engineering workflows on my own. Got results. A VP noticed and invited me to present at an all-hands. That turned into a formal proposal to distribute AI workflows across the broader engineering org.

  • Created foundational architecture for the layout system of a no-code / low-code tool (Config Platform) and worked cross-team to improve its design and functionality.
  • Contributed significantly to the creation of a design system from its inception as a small in-house component
  • library to the point of being used company-wide and handing it off to a dedicated team of engineers.
  • Lead front-end engineer for the pilot program (utilizing the Config Platform). Coordinating between 5
  • engineers, 2 cross-org teams, and engineers in another company.
  • The project increased the number of applications processed by 1000% and brought in $10 million in
  • revenue.

  • Used modern front end technologies (Javascript, ReactJS, Webpack, SASS, NodeJS) to implement designs and create user experiences.
  • Created custom data visualizations using D3.js (Ex: Word clouds, Tree maps, Charts, etc.)
  • Implemented current front end methodologies ( BEM for CSS, React Hooks, Reducer pattern, and Stateless Components)
  • Lead front end engineer for a major project, that involved delegating work to other engineers and coordinating their commits as well as meetings with stakeholders.
