As a Short Service Officer in the Indian Army (Artillery), I worked in both operational and counterinsurgency settings. I'm dedicated to helping veterans transition from the military to civilian life by facilitating the development of new skills, knowledge, and attitudes. The Director General Resettlement (Armed Forces, Ministry of Defense) and NASSCOM teamed up with my former company, one of only a few to take part in this groundbreaking initiative. I am an IIM Lucknow alumnus and have lectured at the institute, MDI Gurgaon, and numerous other business schools. Retiring soldiers have long struggled to find a solid base for their second innings. As a social entrepreneur, I'm trying to find out what isn't working and come up with a system to fix it rather than relying on the government or business sectors to take care of it. My life and business have been devoted to changing the course of this industry, and I'm more concerned about the practical implementation of this vision than anything else. It is because of my desire to act as an agent of social change for Services fraternity, and the social entrepreneur within me that I have been compelled to seize opportunities others have missed and enhance systems while devising new approaches and solutions to improve society. The goal is to devise novel solutions to pressing issues and to put those solutions into action on a large scale.
