Shovan Sinha Ray — Co-Founder
I am an educator, storyteller, and social impact practitioner with 5+ years of experience at the intersection of education, culture, and development. My work spans classroom teaching, self-directed learning design, faculty training, and cross-cultural storytelling, all rooted in the pursuit of equity, inclusion, and peacebuilding. I have led learning programs across diverse geographies, facilitated workshops on social justice and pedagogy, and contributed to the development of education models tailored to underserved communities. My academic grounding in international studies, with a focus on peacebuilding and human rights, is complemented by a TESOL certification and a portfolio of research, publications, and public engagement initiatives. I have worked across formal and non-formal education systems, applying participatory and experiential methods to promote learner agency, critical thinking, and social cohesion. In my most recent full-time role at the Founder’s Office of Social Innovation Studio (SiS), I led partnerships, collaborations, and strategic program development to bridge social innovation with real-world impact. SiS works at the intersection of education, livelihoods, and community development, offering services in Program Insights, Program Innovation, and Impact Communication. I worked closely with mission-driven organisations to design and implement participatory learning models, build cross-sector collaborations, and amplify impact narratives that centre community voices. Through this work, I continued to integrate my background in education and peacebuilding with system-level innovation—advancing SiS’s vision of shaping equitable, inclusive, and human-centered futures. Beyond this, I am currently building Hear Queer - rooted in lived experiences of queer people. It is a grassroots LGBTQIA+ storytelling initiative. Any help or collaboration is well appreciated.
