Over the course of the last 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of shaping some of India’s most loved lifestyle brands, including Titan Raga, Tanishq, Fastrack, and Titan Eyeplus, while also working with world-class creative and strategy teams during my initial years at Ogilvy and Lowe. In the process, I’ve learnt: • How to construct brands from scratch in nascent categories • How to build new product strategies that truly differentiate • How consumer insight-driven thinking can transform a brand at a large scale • How digital marketing and e-commerce shape new age purchase patterns • How to lead high-performance teams with enthusiasm and a purpose Everything I have learnt boils down to three principles for me: 1. Building a brand is a marathon, not a sprint Deeply rooted strategy beats short-lived tactical wins. 2. India’s markets demand bespoke thinking. What works here comes from embracing the understanding of the data from the past, seeing the pattern of the present, and having the courage to frame the future accordingly. 3.   • As I continued to build Titan Eyeplus, I got the additional responsibility of managing Fastrack Eyewear. In this role, I launched frames for the youth under brand Fastrack. This was a huge success story which contributed significantly in expanding the consumer base for Titan Eyeplus stores. I also started managing the Fastrack sunglasses, India’s largest sunglass brand. The other initiative that I feel really proud of was the creation of India’s first ever women’s range of frames Enigma, the communication for which was based on destigmatization of spectacles for women.

This role had a huge role in giving a new pivot to my career.
