  • GTM Engineering was popularised by Clay.com, and it was emerging as a skillset in the AI era. The ability to use workflows and AI to gain significant advantage in Go-To-Market meant that you can start getting higher revenue per employee.
  • I saw this opportunity in late 2024, paid and use Clay myself in my previous AE role, and took the plunge in 2025 to launch my solo consultancy, specialising in Clay Implementation and Advisory, breaking even within the first 3 months.
  • Throughout this period, I mainly worked with US-based SaaS Companies, ranging from late Series A -> PE-Backed Companies, doing all this while being based in Singapore, which is often 12-16 hours ahead of US timing.
  • After running it for more than a year and working graveyard hours, it started to take a toll on me both physically and mentally.
  • While disappointing, I've decided to prioritize other aspects of my personal life, and close down the business. However, I am continuing to pursue GTM Engineering as a craft and skillset.

  • 2. 30 minutes discussion on the topic + direction + agenda of the call
  • 3, Scheduling of the interview date
  • 4., Doing up a one-page write-up with questions and topics that acts as a working document between the guest and myself
  • 5. Actual Interview (Typically up to an hour)
  • 6. Post Production Editing (Audio Cut, Trailers, Subtitles, Episode Outline)
  • 7. Final liaison with guest
  • 8. Posting on social media
  • Takes a team to get this going, but the rewards are worth it, as we get to give back to the Tech Sales Community in Singapore and across APAC!
