  • Road MApp is a social cause project that aims to improve the quality of roads in India, in the process saving a few of the thousands of lives lost due to bad roads and potholes as well as deploy public spends on road repair more efficiently.
  • We have developed, probably a world first (in terms of sophistication and use case), an app that uses smartphone sensors to map out the quality of road. Worked with the team at Lightmetrics, consisting of PhDs in signal processing and data sciences, to build this.
  • We launched this on 29th August, and have received a thumping response from citizens.
  • We aim to take the data to the government and create a dashboard for them that they can use to know electronically which are the bad stretches of roads in their area.
