Before that I was at Google, where I led the development of Google Sheets, Docs, Drive, Classroom and many other collaborative Google Products in the area of productivity and education. I was co-founder and CEO of the startup which was acquired by Google and became Google Sheets. I continued to innovate and lead Product teams at Google for 14 years. I started and led the Google for Education product team including the creation of the Google Classroom product, and other education apps. I also started the Google Jamboard team - managing the product team across hardware and software development. Between Google and LinkedIn I spent a year as Chief Product Officer at Zapier - making it easier for anyone to automate their work - with ease and #NoCode - across the apps they use every day. Previous to Google: I Co-founded two successful technology companies. 1) 2Web Technologies (acquired by Google) - developed the XL2Web product which became the basis for Google Sheets. I led the sale of 2Web to Google in 2005. 2) ITK Solutions - a profitable technology consulting company - grew to 35 people from inception in 2001 to the eventual sale of the company in 2005. I started my career in software engineering in Financial Services as a programmer, then manager, responsible for software dev teams across many investment banking businesses, including proprietary trading, treasury, custody, cash processing, bond syndication, loan origination, structured finance, risk, securities lending, mortgage-backed trading and other areas. I'm passionate about all things creative and innovative. I rarely code (but still love it) and have endless ideas - one or two of which are good 😊 . I enjoy creating small companies to pursue hobby-based business ideas. I also love #creative #maker projects, guitar, electronic music, sound design and helping people become great entrepreneurs.

I was the lead product manager responsible for starting up many google products from inception - including Google Sheets, Docs, Apps Script, Forms, Slides, Google Drive, Drawings, Fonts, Jamboard, Google Classroom, Expeditions VR and a few others. Most recently, I started and managed the Google for Education Product team within Google Cloud.
I started my role at Google in 2005, when a company I co-founded as CEO (2web Technologies) was acquired by Google. I became the lead product manager responsible for the development of the Google Docs and Drive suite from its inception, when we were just a team of 4 in NYC - starting with Google Sheets, and then Google Docs, Google Drive, Slides, Forms, Apps Script, Sites, Drawings, Fonts and other related products. I continued in that role through the first 8 years of growth.
In 2013, I moved on to my most recent role, managing Google Apps for Education - launching Google Classroom and Expeditions in 2014 - and also managing the development and launch of a new product called Jamboard, which launched in Oct, 2016.

[acquired by Google 2005 - became Google Sheets] I Co-founded this company to develop software which converted spreadsheets and all the related processes and data connections to the web. Grew and managed company as CEO - responsible for every aspect of product development, sales, operations, finances, business development, hiring, people management - including initiating and completing the eventual sale of our company to Google in 2005 to further develop it as Google Sheets.
Our main product, XL2Web, converted Excel spreadsheets into interactive web applications - allowing very complex models to be shared more broadly without exposing proprietary logic. We were profitable within one year and remained profitable until the acquisition by Google in 2005.
