About

I’m Lennart Paul Phillipp Gaida, Director Ecosystem at Impossible Cloud. I build partner ecosystems that turn product capability into adoption and partner-led ARR — especially by embedding cloud infrastructure into products, bundles, and marketplaces. Proof points I’m proud of: I’ve helped take our ecosystem from 0 → thousands of partners, and from 0 → integrations across the leading backup vendors (and beyond). That “operator DNA” (commercial engine + solutions, pre-sales/compliance/partner success) is how I run ecosystems: tight execution, clear value, measurable outcomes. Two topics define most of my conversations right now: AI and sovereignty. Here is my take: - AI is data-bound. If your economics depend on moving data around (egress, checkpoint syncing, dataset shuffling), you’re already losing. The shift is obvious: compute moves to where the data lives — which is why I care so much about storage-native architectures and integrated AI infrastructure. - Sovereignty is not a checkbox. Residency is where data is stored. Sovereignty is who can control and use it. If your “sovereign” cloud relies on compliance labels while ignoring jurisdiction, operational access paths, and technical enforceability, that’s sovereignty washing. I hold a PhD from the University of Bremen and a double Master degree in Strategy, Organisation & Leadership from Copenhagen Business School combined with the CEMS Master in Management from ESADE Business School. If you’re building partner ecosystems, technical alliances, or a sovereign cloud strategy (especially with AI workloads in mind) — let’s connect.

  • I lead Ecosystem Strategy & Innovation at Impossible Cloud, driving partner-led ARR via ISV embed/API-to-ARR and marketplace motions. I build technical alliances and 'works with' programs (interop, validation, enablement) to reduce adoption friction and strengthen pipeline quality. I also represent the company externally, contributing to sovereign cloud narratives and ecosystem credibility.

Director Solutions & Growth

Apr 2024Jan 2026 · 1 yr 9 mos

  • I built and led the Solutions function from the ground up and made it a core team in our commercial organization - connecting pre-sales execution, partner enablement, and compliance to accelerate adoption and unlock partner-led revenue.
  • My focus areas:
  • Pre-sales & technical deal execution: Partnered with Sales to run repeatable technical engagements for core storage use cases (e.g., backup/DR) and emerging ones (e.g., inference). Owned late-stage technical requirements end-to-end (POCs, API integrations, whitelabel/OEM needs), reducing friction and increasing conversion in complex deals.
  • Partner success & enablement: Established proactive technical account management for strategic partners, including structured onboarding, training, and 'white glove' escalation paths to improve retention and expansion.
  • Compliance as a growth enabler: Solutions team drove our ISO/ISMS workstream in close coordination with legal and engineering to remove procurement blockers and increase enterprise readiness.
  • Ecosystem: Built technical validation + enablement motions around key ecosystem integrations (backup/DR and adjacent platforms), supported by documentation, guides, and internal playbooks to create 'works with' confidence and speed implementation.

Director Growth

Promoted

Aug 2022May 2024 · 1 yr 9 mos

  • I joined Impossible Cloud as the first business hire and grew into Director Growth, building the commercial foundation from 0→1 as we entered a market dominated by US hyperscalers.
  • What I owned:
  • First customers & early revenue: defined ICP and messaging, created the early pipeline, and closed the first lighthouse wins.
  • Go-to-market from scratch: designed GTM strategy and operating rhythm across sales, marketing, and customer support.
  • Commercial infrastructure: implemented CRM, built core processes (pipeline management, forecasting, handoffs), and established KPI tracking.
  • PMF iteration loop: translated market feedback into positioning and commercial priorities, working closely with product/engineering to accelerate product-market fit.
  • Team & org setup: helped shape the initial commercial org design, roles, and hiring plan as we scaled.
