Harper Foley — Co-Founder
I've always been drawn to solving hard problems—the kind that require you to truly understand how things work, then apply that knowledge under pressure. Growing up, we built everything ourselves on our property with whatever materials we had and a tight budget. Need to build a barn? Cool, but how do you get those heavy i-beams 20 feet up in the air? Build a crane, obviously. Whatever problem we encountered on a project, we'd figure it out with some outside of the box thinking. This "ranch-hand engineering" mentality taught me that every problem has a solution if you're willing to dig deep enough to understand it. That same drive led me to bomb disposal in the Navy. It's the ultimate game of wits—someone literally trying to kill you, and your job is to know their weapons better than they do. Every time we cracked a device, the enemy would adapt and evolve. So I adopted the EOD ethos: "Where others train to get it right, I relentlessly train so I never get it wrong." I believed I'd defeat my enemies because I understood their weapons better than they did. This mentality has carried me through every challenge I've taken on. Want to attend the Naval Academy? Done. Become a special operator? Done. Break into tech investment banking? Done. Learn to code from scratch? Done. Start a tech company? Done. Lead AI product development at the bleeding edge? Done. Today, I apply that same relentless curiosity and problem-solving approach to building AI systems that enterprises can trust. At Tribe AI, I work on building AI systems for enterprises where getting it wrong isn't an option—just like defusing a bomb. It requires understanding the technology at its deepest level, anticipating how it might fail, and building systems that won't. I'm the person you want on your hardest problems—the ones that require both technical precision and the determination to never give up until you find the solution.
