About

I am a Corporate Affairs professional, with ~two decades' experience across Policy Advocacy, Government Affairs, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Research. Creating persuasive narratives, communicating them strategically, and basing arguments on extensive research is at the heart of what I do. I joined Intel in December 2023 as the Government Affairs Lead. Prior to this, I managed Government Affairs and Public Policy for Dell Technologies India for 7 years. I have been a founding member of two successful start-ups, Astrum and IIFM/ Pratham (a training and development venture), and have worked with two global consulting firms - Penn Schoen Berland and McKinsey and Company. The breadth and depth of exposure in these roles has defined me, both as a person and a professional. I am a strong believer in making actions speak louder than words, and in taking smart risks. Passion for excellence and demonstrated results keeps me going. I earned my MBA, with distinction, from Asian Institute of Management and pursued my specialization in Marketing and Strategy at HEC, Paris. I hold an M.Com degree from the University of Delhi.

Astrum - reputation advisory

Principal Designate

May 2015Nov 2016 · 1 yr 6 mos · Gurgaon

  • Astrum is India’s first science based specialist reputation management advisory. My team and I advised clients across a wide range of issues. In a space that was still finding its feet in India (Reputation Management and Corporate Affairs), we were already serving a rich and diverse portfolio across sectors: manufacturing, consumer and professional.
  • As the engagement lead on key firm accounts, I worked closely with the C suite to address specific issues that hampered company reputation. From generating audience specific insights, to translating them in to a long term strategic and a short term tactical plan, my work was deeply backed by research, both primary and secondary. In this role, I learnt how to integrate separate, but aligned, functions such as marketing, social citizenship and thought leadership to create impact. My work involved leveraging all formats of communication (print, digital, broadcast, 1x1) to deliver a well rounded and holistic message.
  • Some of the key achievements at Astrum included:
  • Created an extensive risk mitigation strategy for a key chemical player,
  • Launched an agro-chemical product in the rural market amidst regulatory hurdles
  • Changed the brand identity of an innovative Indian additive firm to reflect its growth from medium to large scale
  • Created communication and risk mitigation strategies for expanding to new markets
  • Collaborated with social experts to devise, implement, and monitor CSR and product stewardship programmes,
  • Authored keynote addresses for leaders, and
  • Worked with a key industry body on advocating changes to the National Education Policy .
  • As a part of the founding team, I was also responsible for providing a unified customer experience by defining processes for client on-boarding, internal training of new recruits, and mentoring on the job.
