About

I take platform capabilities -- risk, compliance, identity, servicing, and turn them into products that work for internal teams and external customers. Right now I lead a team at PayPal that does this across PayPal and Venmo: building 0→1 products, shipping AI-powered tooling, and standing up entirely new platform solutions from scratch. I got here through an unusual path. I started as a tech journalist in Singapore covering startups, then moved into venture capital where I evaluated growth-stage bets (including Twilio's Series C pre-IPO). From there I built PayPal/Braintree's startup partnerships program from zero, spent four years in corporate strategy learning how a multi-billion dollar company decides where to invest, ran enterprise-wide strategic programs that moved hundreds of millions in revenue, and eventually crossed over into product — where I discovered that all those earlier roles were teaching me different parts of the same job. 15+ years across product, strategy, partnerships, and investing in fintech. I think the best product leaders are the ones who understand the business and customers as deeply as they understand the product. That's what I try to be.
