• Motorola Solutions is a global developer of public safety and commercial communications solutions.
• I was promoted to direct the software engineering strategy and operations for two major programs – MSI’s core SmartConnect broadband/RF call switching feature on the APX NEXT All-Band P25 Smart Radio, and the TXM3000 All band 25 transportation Radio. In this role, I define and execute the goals and manage the performance of a global organization of 15 direct reports in Florida and more than 40 matrixed software engineers in Malaysia and Poland architecting, developing, and testing C++ code. Additionally, I serve as Project Manager, Scrum Master, and Agile coach building alignment on UI design, requirements, workflows, KPIs, quality, support, budgets, integration, and resource management. • In 2016, I was appointed to a newly created role within Motorola Solutions’ Chengdu R&D Center directing the strategic planning, roadmap definition, costing, and prioritization of product lines and features for the rapidly growing Asia Pacific market. I drove revenue and EBITDA performance via leadership and partnership with business owners and Professional and Commercial Radio (PCR) product development teams. This entailed evaluating, prioritizing, and advocating for product roadmaps; leveraging strategic customer opportunities maximizing ROI; building business cases; collaborating on product design; and shaping go-to-market strategy. • I was selected by the CEO’s office to program manage the software product development cycle for a two-way pager product used by public safety professionals in Germany and other key markets. In this capacity, I applied Agile and Scrum methodologies as the champion of a matrixed, multilevel organization of more than 30 software engineers in Poland, Malaysia, and China. I also served as the liaison to hardware, software, business operations, human factors, release management, central PMO, and other teams. Key achievement:
• ►Delivering a new Tetra product within established budgets and timelines. I aligned and orchestrated stakeholders around a common vision, from initial definition through SDLC, integration, beta testing, and go-to-market deployment.
• I led a development team of 12 software engineers building major ergonomic/UI features for the Tetra line. As such, I managed a team located in Poland, Malaysia, and China, Poland, and served as Agile coach and Scrum Master. Key achievements:
• ►Program managing the component SDLC operations transfer from Poland to China. I led change management enabling rapid ramp-up and delivery of components within established KPIs and roadmaps.
