• As the founding engineer at Checkmate I oversaw the initial design, build-out, and deployment of our earliest systems. Built an MVP to start validating in the market in around a month. Once we started gaining traction, I transitioned to the CTO role eventually hiring and leading a team of 10 engineers. I still code as much as possible and oversee all high-level architectural decisions in collaboration with my team and the product team. Ruby/Rails, Ember.js, Elixir/Phoenix, Postgres, Redis.
