About

Over a career spanning over 20 years, I have a unique and rich cross sectoral as well as entrepreneurial experience across both Indian and multinational Fortune 500 companies as well as NGOs. My last role was at Samsung , where I was responsible for crafting and driving Samsung's CSR strategy and programs in the South West Asia region. Prior to Samsung, I have headed the Vodafone Foundation as well as the CSR South Asia function for Intel and the Country Sustainability leadership at ABB. I am passionate about inclusive development and my approach to corporate responsibility and sustainability is based on an understanding of business drivers and developmental issues and in particular the need to deliver a strong business case that can create a long term value for all stakeholders. As one of the early entrants to the corporate social responsibility domain in the country, I have helped shape the dialog, contributed to public policy positions and spearheaded several impactful corporate social and economic empowerment programs specially focused upon the most disadvantaged and marginalised sections of our society.

Developing and managing the CSR policy of Intel including defining and crafting the strategies to help meet the company’s CSR objectives. Creating detailed plans, building relationships with partner organizations and implementing a range of activities and initiatives to ensure a net positive impact . Ensuring that all regulatory requirements including preparation of the annual CSR report, board level reviews etc are met.
Building reputation – establishing Intel as a responsible corporate citizen in the region.
Establishing the best social and environmental responsibility practices and embedding them across the various groups and functions at Intel as well as companies acquired by Intel. This included bringing in best practices from Intel’s global operations, leadership standards, international agreements and conventions applicable to India, etc.

Leveraging internal / external channels to implement and communicate Intel’s corporate responsibility initiatives – including speakerships, spearheading employee engagement through the Intel Involved employee volunteering program, sustainability reporting, NGO partnerships etc.
Intel Foundation’s grant making to NGOs in the region, ensuring governance, program and execution standards are met.
