About

Building saute - a travel concierge that truly understands and assists you during your travel abroad. Trip suggestions? Planning? Access to that restaurant you've wanted to visit for years? Or finding that hidden gem? We've got you. Not just that, if you need any assistance during your trip (god forbid), we'll help you navigate uncertainty. Currently live in Thailand. What I'm building is truly bigger than me or the team, if you feel you believe in a borderless world that truly helps connect humans, nations, stories -- I'm right here.

Meesho

Senior Growth Associate

Jun 2024Mar 2026 · 1 yr 9 mos · Bengaluru · On-site

  • There's a thing about purple logos with both the jobs I did. Joined Meesho via a connect who was building his team at Growth.
  • Spent my entire time building deal programs (retention lever) from user-side to seller-side flywheels. Worked on daily discounting programs (built Flexi Growth Offers), and learnt how increasing frequency of purchases leads to product stickiness. Couldn't work as much during the first few months, but saw the organization being rebuilt almost entirely during that time (3d level chess reformation).
  • It took me a while to understand terms such as incrementality, A/B tests, how to build on insights, how to scale, etc. and by the time I did, AI was here. Spent 2-3 hours building tonnes of CustomGPTs to write SQL, build PRDs, among others and experienced how bringing in growth feels. There's something about platform flywheels that feel magical once you crack them. I was 50% there.
  • My most important takeaway from Meesho was how the company is deep rooted in it's culture, and more importantly the people I met here changed me. They see something I don't see in myself, but enough to go build something of my own.
  • Witnessed the IPO, the sale events, and promotional cycles where I wasn't promoted xD.

Rippling

Customer Support Specialist

Sep 2023May 2024 · 8 mos · Bengaluru · On-site

  • Got too confident during college and didn't sit for campus placements. Rippling happened in about 2-3 months of me looking for a job (didn't matter what).
  • Didn't know too much about Rippling, but there's a story of Parker Conrad (Founder) who built Zenefits, got fired, rebuilt in the same industry, a product that would go to become the absolute best. Bonus points, his LinkedIn used to say Customer Support at Rippling - was inquisitive (and desparate) to know why CX mattered so much to him.
  • Learnt customer empathy, solved 1000s of tickets, shared feedback with internal teams, offended a few people and played a lot of foosball in the office.

Unacademy

Summer Intern

May 2022Aug 2022 · 3 mos · Bengaluru

  • Our university mandated summer internships and found this one (probably very late) on Internshala, and was too good to be true.
  • Unacademy was the talk of the town when I joined (the ed-tech boom) and truly learnt what happens at a growth stage company. The company nurtured new initiatives every year across different education products and one such was core-engineering (where engineers from core fields were made ready to be placed in core-industries, unlike everything taking up IT).
  • Started working on learning and scouting influencers across Instagram and YouTube whom we could collaborate and distribute with. It didn't yield results however, taught me how insighting and experimentation work. Spent the summers rolling out surveys and calling users to understand their pain points and expectations. Later found that college fests is a great place for us to find our TG, so built a playbook to sponsor and put up stalls at these universities across Bangalore.
  • Later, with my internship coming to an end, I was asked if I'd want to contribute to building a YouTube channel for this course and took that up. Learnt basics of how content works, how to build thumbnails, etc.
  • Distribution seemed a little challenging here, but was easy to scale with money. Organic distribution is still something I wish to crack. Difficult, but exciting.

Frontrow

Product & Growth Intern

Aug 2021Oct 2021 · 2 mos · Remote

  • Was my first internship - did this during the COVID lockdown. Time spent at FrontRow was all about learning processes under some smart folks. Worked in their Rap Community and though this was repetitive work, I spoke to a lot of 13-15 y/o rappers (who would conduct sessions for our community members) - the depth they had in their verses were much beyond my comprehension.
  • What truly stood out was these rappers were feeding their families through their writing. FrontRow eventually did not work out and was shut, but it did truly create an impact on creators.
  • My work involved operations to ensure these daily sessions for learners operated smoothly. It is here where I learnt about a few basic tools like MS Office, Canva - though not skill to brag about these days.
