In my 9 months at Rent the Runway, I worked on the middleware/front-end systems (Ruby/JavaScript) to create new features on the web storefront and worked on the back-end (Java) developing the inventory management and order fulfillment software.
• Created “shortlists” feature to save dresses to groups; increased interaction and dress rentals, especially when re-targeting customers for future rentals
• Implemented Return for Fit, a feature enabling users to automatically return a dress within two days of the rental for refund or replacement; improved customer service load and satisfaction
• Wrote Java back-end and Ruby web service components to transition user account pages off legacy PHP framework
